                                        Mrs. Benjamin Feltham
                                        Glovertown, B.B.

                                        Dear Mrs. Feltham,
It was with regret that we learned of the sudden passing of your son Jonathan, formerly
member of the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit, who passed away in Scotland on March 26th. From
the particulars which we have available at the moment, it appears that your son suffered from tubercular
meningitis. I have been informed by Captain Jack Turner, Officer-in-charge of the unit, that at the request
of your son's uncle, your boy was buried at Carrbridge, Scotland, on the 28th. of this month.
On behalf of the Commissioner, Captain Turner, myself and the dapartment, I hasten
to express to you our sincere regret and extend to you our heartfelt condolence in your sudden bereavement.
As soon as further particulars with respect to the demise are available, we shall advise
you at once. I think I can assure you that everything that could have been done for the boy was done. You
may feel quite content that Captain Turner has done everything possible with respect to burial arrangements.

                                        Yours sincerely,

                                        (Claude?) Fraser
