The following is an excerpt
from a letter to the Scots Magazine March 1998, written by Eve Rendle whose
father Albert Edward Rendle
was in charge of running
the Carrbridge camp. Eve would like to hear from anyone who might remember
her father.
.
"My father, A.E. Rendle, was actually in
charge of the Carrbridge camp for several years in the 1940s and I have
vivid memories
of visiting with my elder sister and our
delight in having two sledges made for us by men from the camp. We were
also given chocolate
which was a great treat.
In recent years I have visited Carrbridge
and met with local people who remember the camp, and I would be interested
if any of your
readers were involved with the Carrbridge
camp and remember my father during that time. I have a collection of photos
and other
interesting items from those years."
