Folk Night at the Registry

An Old English Christmas Celebration

A festive celebration for the whole family, featuring traditional village carols,
English country dances, Morris dances, and seasonal narratives. Join us as
the village folk gather to celebrate the coming of Christmas in the local pub.

Written and produced by Tom Siess, featuring the
London Playford Dancers, Forest City Morris and Sword, the Wassail Choir of London.

Wassail! grew up out of a desire by a group of London, Ontario singers and dancers to share their love and enthusiasm for the seasonal customs and traditions of England in centuries past.  It began with a few caroling visits to the homes of friends, and expanded to become a stage performance in 1986. It has been an annual event since that time. In any given performance it may include traditional carols, English Country dances, Morris dances, and a Mummers' play, all woven together with seasonal prose and poetry.
