DEBBIE CARROLL
Classically trained but steeped in the folk tradition, Debbie has a rich and varied background in music.  She has accompanied and conducted choirs, performed in small ensembles as well as an orchestra, led high school music programmes and taught private lessons.  Debbie has been invited to lead workshops for kindergarten teachers, and has initiated music sessions for nursery school and daycare. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys reading, writing songs, gardening, knitting, and making music with friends. www.debbiecarroll.com


KIRK ELLIOTT:  Irish Flute, Fiddle

Kirk is one of the funniest people on the planet.  He is also classically trained musician who has written music for the likes of the National Ballet, the National Film Board and the CBC.  Kirk performs for children and their families in the "Sharon, Bram and Friends" touring band, and in the duo "Kirk and Magoo". Debbie enjoyed playing Celtic harp for Kirk's fiddle class at The Woods Music and Dance Camp 2002.  www.magooman.com

EVE GOLDBERG:  Voice
Eve's solo career takes her into folk clubs and festivals around North America.  "Crossing the Water" is Eve's newest CD under the Borealis Record label. Her guitar tune, "Watermelon Sorbet" is the theme song for "Richardson's Roundup" on CBC Radio One.  Eve also enjoys the beauty of harmony singing, and it is a pleasure to hear her voice on UP AND OVER THE MOON! www.evegoldberg.com

BEN GROSSMAN:  Percussion
Ben is proficient in many styles including Celtic, Middle Eastern, European, Early Music and well...just about anything!  Ben performs with the Toronto Consort and is in great demand as a talented studio, theatre, concert and festival musician.  Having a young family of his own, Ben enjoyed bringing his talents to this CD for children.  www.macrophone.org

JEFF MORRISON:  Guitar
Jeff is a gifted guitar, banjo, mandolin and dobro player.  In a duo with Debbie Carroll, he enjoys performing an eclectic mix of songs including Appalachian, gospel, Celtic and original tunes. Jeff's biggest influences have been guitar wizards Bruce Cockburn and Doc Watson. Always eager to strum a string or two, Jeff loves to 'jam' with friends, both on and offstage.

ARNIE NAIMAN:  Banjo
Performer and composer, Arnie is one of Canada's foremost banjo players. He is one half of the duo Ragged But Right, along with Kathy Reid-Naiman.   Arnie's latest successful project has been with with a touring group of 4 banjo players - The Banjo Special.Arnie is the kind of musician who is so good that he makes it look too easy.  Be not deceived!  www.merriweather.ca

KATHY REID-NAIMAN: Voice, Fretted Dulcimer
Kathy is a wonderful singer, song-writer, guitarist, fiddler, dance caller, teacher and performer.  Five wonderful CD's of early childhood music  make Kathy one of this country's most respected children's teachers and performers.  Kathy is a member of Mariposa in the Schools as well as the Children's Music Network. ERNIE TOLLAR: Indian Flute, Saxophone
Ernie is one of Toronto's busiest musicians, performing World, Jazz and Fusion music.  He and his wife Maryem form the core of the group "Mernie", which borrows from the richness of jazz and ethnic traditions to create an original musical gem. Ernie played in the Casa Wroxton studio for UP AND OVER THE MOON! on the very same day that he and his family were flying to Egypt - to study music, of course!  www.mernie.ca
